One walks on edges of the roads, as they do along the banks of rivers. It is quite surprising how similar this parallel is. The banks of rivers invite civilisation, as a means of life, sustenance and transport. We connected our urban societies using tar and stone for the riverbed, and our vehicles to flow loud, heavy and hot upon them.
